ProSpec Contributes to LEED Project Points

What is LEED?

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to help define green building standards. While ProSpec products contribute to points required to achieve LEED certification, LEED applies to construction projects, not products. Construction projects are eligible for certification from the USGBC based on the number of points they receive from the products used in the construction process and the construction methods used. ProSpec products qualify for points in these areas:

Indoor Environmental Quality, which includes low and non-VOC emitting adhesives and sealants
Materials & Resources, which includes recycled content and regional production within 500 miles of the project

Our line of ProSpec Level Set underlayments and wear toppings is casein-free, and our grouts feature Micro Defense^™ Technology, to prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
